Newton Stewart Walking Festival 2023

Often described as Scotland’s best kept secret, Galloway is a wonderfully unspoilt landscape with an endless variety of routes for walkers to enjoy. Walkfest offers around 30 routes over 7 days, with transport and guides included, as well as a programme of evening social events.

The 2023 festival will take place from Friday 12th May to Thursday 18th May.

Newton Stewart Walking Festival is run by a group of volunteers who share an enthusiasm and love for Galloway and the great walking experiences it offers.

The festival is still centred on the market town of Newton Stewart but we offer walks throughout the Galloway Hills and along the Solway Coast.
