Newton Stewart Walking Festival Evening Talks

Walkfest – Newton Stewart begins this coming Friday. Walkfest is a signatory to the GSA Biosphere’s Sustainable Events Charter and has a Biosphere theme this year, to help us celebrate the first decade of our UNESCO Biosphere! Whether or not you are walking during the festival please do come along to the evening talks as well (no booking required). On Saturday 13th May you’ll get to hear GSAB’s Project Support Officer Malcolm Haddow speaking about the amazing flora and fauna of our region.

On Tuesday 16th May we have another talk by Martin McGhie of Galloway hydro operator Drax and archaeologist Claire Williamson
