NSDAA OPEN CHARITY MATCH 2026

NSDAA are delighted to officially announce our popular open charity match for 2026!

This year, following a successful trial run, we are keeping the bait fishing element to the day as well!

This season, our single chosen benefactor is Dumfries and Galloway Sands.

SANDS is an organisation close to the heart of many members of your committee, the club and the wider community.

They are the UK’s leading pregnancy and baby loss charity. They provide free, confidential support for anyone affected by the death of a baby or pregnancy loss, work to improve maternity and bereavement care, and fund research to help save babies’ lives.

An organisation that is such an important lifeline in someone’s life and we feel that we have a great opportunity to give something back to help support their ongoing works.

The charity match will take place on Saturday the 22nd of August 2026 at between 10am and 4:30pm with fly fishing at Loch Ochiltree and bait fishing on Fyntalloch.

Registration time for both lochs – 0900-0945 within the boathouse at Loch Ochiltree – once registered and briefed, bait anglers will travel round to Fyntalloch.

£20 entry fee on the day.

This event includes bonus cash prizes for catching tagged fish and is accompanied with our raffle.

Competitors are encouraged to bring a donation for the raffle table if they can!

No requirement to prebook, just turn up, pay in, and fish.

Now, with any charity event comes the plea ……. we are looking for any person/businesses who would like to support the event by way of donation of prizes/services for the match or raffle prizes, monetary donations or sponsoring of tagged fish (£20 per fish).
