Petite Messe Solonnelle concert
Saturday 29th April, Newton Stewart Singers perform ‘Petite Messe Solonnelle’ by Gioachino Rossini (1792-1868).
Regarded as the most substantial composition of Rossini’s latter years, this ironically named piece was published in 1863. Neither ‘little’ nor ‘Solemn’ in nature, it remains a favourite with performers and audiences worldwide.
On behalf of Newton Stewart & District Music Club, and Newton Stewart Singers, we do hope to see you see you in the near future.
